PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE IN MOROCCO FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025

  1. Call for Application

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training would like to inform the general Public that the Kingdom of Morocco through the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) has granted 30 scholarships to eligible Tanzanian Nationals to pursue Higher education in Moroccan Public Universities, technical and vocational centres for the academic year 2024/2025.

A complete list of the Moroccan Public Higher Education Institutions as well as specific information about them, including the conditions of access, the subjects and the study duration can be found in the catalogue for 2023/2024 academic year below (in French):

  1. General Admission Requirements
  • Undergraduate Studies
  • Bachelor
  1. Applicant must have completed Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) in 2023 or 2024 and passed with Division I or II /Diploma with minimum of Upper Second Class;
  2. Age not older than 23 years by August, 2024;
  3. Should not be admitted in any Higher Education Institution in the Morocco; and
  4. Medical Certificate issued by public medical hospitals certifying that you are not suffering from any contagious illness or carrying a pandemic.

 

  • Postgraduate Studies:
  • Masters
    1. Must be holders of a first degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class;
    2. Should not be admitted in any Higher Learning Institution; and
    3. Medical Certificate issued by public medical hospitals certifying that you are not suffering from any contagious illness or carrying a pandemic.

 

  • PhD
  1. Must be holders of Master’s degree in the required subject/specialities of studies recognized as being equivalent to Moroccan granted certificate;
  2. Not admitted in any Higher Learning Institution; and
  3. Medical Certificate issued by public medical hospitals certifying that you are not suffering from any contagious illness or carrying a pandemic.

NB:

  • Applications with a certificate level of training in French language will have an added advantage;
  • For all programmes the language of instruction is French except “Arabic Language and Literature” and “Islamic Studies” which are taught in Arabic.
  • There is no loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered this Scholarship.
  1. List of documents to be submitted (two (02) copies each):
  2. Completed filled application forms;
  3. Certified copy of academic certificates, transcripts, and birth certificate;
  4. A certified copy of the passport data page;
  5. A certified copy of National identity (NIDA);
  6. Recent Police clearance certificate;
  7. Medical certificate issued by public medical hospitals certified that he/she is not suffering from any contagious illness or carrying a pandemic;
  8. Two recent passport size photographs, in color, (with the name, surname and nationality of the candidate written on the back of the photos); and
  9. Applicant for Masters and PhD must provide a copy of an Abstract of dissertation/thesis of graduation/thesis for PhD degree.
  10. Scholarship Coverage

This scholarship will cover:

(i)     Monthly allowance of 750 Dirhams (approximately to USD 75); and

(ii)    Full tuition fees.

Costs covered by the applicants (Student):

  • Return air travel;
  • Registration fees
  • Accommodation; and
  • Transport within the country.
  1. Medical coverage:

Foreign students are required to subscribe to an insurance policy during their study stay in Morocco that offers them the following services:

  • Reimbursement of medical expenses;
  • Medical care;
  • Final medical evacuation to the country of origin, in the event of serious illness that will not allow students to continue with their studies in Morocco; and
  • Repatriation of a body in case of death in Moroccan territory.
